2020
- Saw action in eight of the Bulls’ nine games on the year
- Good on 4-of-6 field goal attempts (66.7%) with a season-long of 49 yards
- All of his field goal attempts on the year came from 40 yards or farther out as he split kicking duties with Jared Sackett
- Scored 23 points on the year, also going 11-of-12 on PAT attempts
- Named the AAC Special Teams Player of the Week (Nov. 9) after a career-best game at Memphis (11/7) in which he went 4-for-4 on field goals, all over 40 yards, becoming the first USF player with four 40-plus yard field goals in the same game
- Made a career-long 49-yard field goal in the game and added makes fro 47, 46 and 41 yards
- Named to the Lou Groza Award national “Stars of the Week”
- His 49-yard field goal marked the longest for the Bulls since 2017
- Handled kickoff duties, recording 16 touchbacks on the year, including five in eight kickoffs in a 56-48 loss to UCF
- Recorded four touchbacks on four kickoffs at Houston and posted a 65.0 yards per kick average
2019
- Arrived as USF as a walk-on after pursuing a professional soccer career
- Played in all 12 games
- Finished 4-for-9 in field goal attempts

- Led the team with 30 points scored
- Rushed one time for 22 yards and a touchdown against UConn (10/5)
- Averaged a career-best 42.0 yards per punt, including a career-long 51-yard punt, against UConn (10/5)
- Connected on a career-long field goal of 34 yards against South Carolina State (9/14)
NEWSOME HS
- Three-year letter winner in football, soccer and tennis
- Was a first team all-state selection as a senior
- Was a three-time soccer MVP and a four-time tennis MVP
- Named first team Florida Class 8A all-state selection as a senior kicker in 2017.
- He was home schooled, and after graduating in 2018 spent several months in Brazil and Canada pursuing a professional career in soccer

- Son of Steve and Amber Shrader
- His sister, Sophie, is on the soccer team at the University of Tampa
- Majored in pre-marketing served as president of Liberty Villages Inc., a nonprofit organization that builds Christian-based communities devoted to education, entrepreneurship, freedom and peace
- Named to the Athletics Spring Roll in fall 2020 and spring 2020 and 2021
- 2019, 2020 and 2021 AAC All-Academic Team.
