#4 Irish Host Liberty, Head to Louisville

NOTRE DAME, Ind. —The fourth-ranked Irish return to action with a pair of contests this weekend against Liberty and #17 Louisville. The Irish and Flames will meet at 5 p.m. ET on Friday (March 19) at Arlotta Stadium before Notre Dame meets Louisville at noon ET on Sunday (March 21) in Louisville. Both contests will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

THE NOTRE DAME-LIBERTY SERIES

  • The Irish and Flames will be meeting for the fourth time on Friday with Notre Dame having won all three previous matchups between the two schools.
  • Two of those previous three contests between Notre Dame and Liberty were home contests for the Irish.
  • The two sides last met on February 17, 2019 when the Irish earned a 14-10 road vic- tory over Liberty in Lynchburg.
  • In that victory, Andie Aldave (4G, A) and Jessi Masinko (G, 4A) paced the Irish with five points each.
  • Samantha Lynch also netted four goals for Notre Dame.

THE NOTRE DAME-LOUISVILLE SERIES

  • The Irish and Cardinals will be meeting for the 13th time on Sunday afternoon in Louisville.
  • Notre Dame holds a 10-2 advantage in the all-time series and a 4-1 mark in contests played at Louisville.
  • The teams last met on March 2, 2019 when the Irish earned a 16-4 triumph inside Loftus Sports Center.
  • Andie Aldave racked up six points on four goals and two assists while Samantha Lynch collected five points on four goals and a helper.
  • Maddie Howe also netted a hat trick for the Irish in that win.
