As her freshman season winds down, Hannah Hidalgo continues to add accomplishments to her bio. On Tuesday, Hidalgo was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale USBWA National Player of the Year Watchlist. There are 40 student-athletes that made the list, and just two of them are freshmen.
Hidalgo seemingly breaks or flirts with a new record every time she steps onto the court. She has already broken the Notre Dame freshman scoring record and program steals record. She now owns the ACC freshman steals record, and she is just 20 points away from breaking the conference’s rookie scoring record (659). Hidalgo has also won 11 ACC Rookie of the Week awards, which is a conference record.
