Notre Dame and Michigan State close out the two-game series tonight at 5:05 p.m. at the Joyce Center. The Irish took the series opener on Friday night with a 6-2 win, breaking the game open with a five-goal second period. Notre Dame is ranked 11th in the nation and brings an 8-3-1 overall record into the game and is in first place in the CCHA with a 6-2-1-1 league record. The Spartans are now 4-4-3 overall and 2-4-1-0 in conference play. The Irish are 6-0-3 in their last nine meetings with Michigan State, including a 4-0-1 record at the Joyce Center.
