July 31, 2013

Notre Dame, Ind. – Season tickets for the 2013-14 Notre Dame hockey season will go on sale to the public on Thursday, August 1 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Murnane Family Ticket Office, by calling 574-631-7356 or by logging on to und.com/tickets. Don’t be left out in the cold this winter as the Irish enter play in a new conference – Hockey East during its 30th anniversary season. The 25-game home schedule includes games against Hockey East foes, Merrimack, Massachusetts, Northeastern, Maine and Boston University. Non-league games include visits from Western Michigan, Michigan Tech, Minnesota, Alabama-Huntsville and Lake Superior State. For the first time, Notre Dame will play host to the Shillelagh Tournament at the Compton Family Ice Arena on the weekend after Thanksgiving, featuring Western Michigan, Alabama-Huntsville and Northeastern in the tourney field.

The Compton Family Ice Arena features great sightlines – wide concourses with plenty of concession stands, rest rooms and state-of-the-art video boards to enhance your game day experience. In fact, last year, Stadium Journey Magazine ranked Compton Family Ice Arena as the third best sports venue overall (behind only Lucas Oil Stadium and Fenway Park). All of that goes with great college hockey action on the ice and great energy and enthusiasm in the stands.
