After taking down the Duke Blue Devils on the road on Monday, the Irish are back at home for senior night at Purcell Pavilion. The Irish will honor Jenna Brown, Sarah Cernugel, Anna DeWolfe, Nat Marshall, Becky Obinma, and Maddy Westbeld in Notre Dame’s senior night recognition during pregame. 

No. 19 Notre Dame (19-6, 9-5) hosts Clemson (11-15, 4-10) at home on Thursday night as the regular season schedule is winding down with just three regular season games remaining after the battle against the Tigers. 

Notre Dame leads the overall series against the Tigers 8-3, with a 4-1 record on the road and a 4-1 record at home. The Irish have won the last two matchups with the most recent win happening on the road at Littlejohn Coliseum with a 57-54 win over the Tigers. Maddy Westbeld put up 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals in the road win. Prior to the 57-54 win in 2023 and the 77-56 victory at home in 2022, the Tigers won three straight against the Irish from 2019-2021. 

As a contender for ACC Player of the Year, Hannah Hidalgo continues to dominate the ACC leaderboards as she’s leading the conference in scoring, averaging 24.4 points per game, and in steals, averaging 5.0 steals per game. She’s leading the nation with 125 total steals so far this season. She’s also third in the ACC with 5.3 assists per game. 

Maddy Westbeld sits fifth in the conference in rebounding with 9.3 rebounds per game. The 6’3” forward is just shy of averaging a double-double as she also ranks amongst the top 25 top scorers in the ACC, putting up 13.9 points per game. Westbeld has nine double-doubles on the year.  

Clemson has three players averaging double-digit scoring in Amari Robinson (17.4), Dayshanette Harris (13.7) and Ruby Whitehorn (11.7).
