Irish to be represented by Connor Fu & Aditya Vashistha

The Notre Dame men’s tennis team will compete this weekend at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. The Irish will be represented by junior Connor Fu and graduate student Aditya Vashistha who will see their first action of the fall.

Saturday morning will start with a round of doubles at 9am. The Irish will take on Daniel De Jonge and Linus Carlsson Halldin of Pepperdine in the opening round.

Following doubles, Connor Fu will open singles play with a match against Ronan Jachuck of Harvard. That match will follow doubles at approx. 10am. Aditya Vashistha will take the court for his first singles match approx. 11:15am as he lines up against Alexander Panyan of the US Naval Academy.

This will be the first competition for Vashistha as a member of the ND program as he is a graduate transfer most recently playing for St. John’s University. At SJU, he played #1 singles and reached a career high #44 in the ITA National Singles Rankings.

Fu is a junior who is coming off a year where he was a staple in the singles lineup. During his sophomore campaign, he collected wins against Middle Tennessee State, Louisville(x2), Boston College, NC State and a win against Duke which also clinched a team victory against the Blue Devils.
