CHARLOTTE, N.C. – 11 members of the University of Notre Dame softball team earned Academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for their performances on the field and in the classroom this season. Four of the 11 had earned Academic All-ACC in previous years, with seven earning the distinction for the first time.
Rachel Allen, Addison Amaral, Shannon Becker, Karina Gaskins, Cassidy Grimm, Kami Kamzik, Micaela Kastor, Carlli Kloss, Alexis Laudenslager, Emily Tran and Mickey Winchell were the Irish honorees Grimm, Kastor and Tran earning the honors for the second time, with Becker earning Academic All-ACC for the third time in three seasons.
To be eligible for the Academic All-ACC honors, student-athletes need to maintain a career GPA of over 3.0, with a term GPA over 3.0 while playing in at least 50-percent of games for position players and 20-percent of games in the circle.
