GREENSBORO, N.C. — Led by Isabella DiLisio (72), Emma Albrecht (73) and Mia Ayer (73), the Fighting Irish women’s golf team posted its best round of the 2018 ACC Championship, carding a final round 293 at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center East Course (par 72/6,122 yards).
The Irish got out to a fast start on Monday, led by DiLisio’s five-under par 31 carded on her first nine holes of the day (holes 10-18). She strung together five birdies on holes 13-17 and then eagled the 18th.
“We had it going today just weren’t able to sustain it and post the number we needed,” head coach Susan Holt said after the round. “We certainly had an opportunity to move up and just didn’t get the job done.”
With her final round, one-over par 73 Albrecht finished tied for 18th marking her third consecutive Top-20 finish at the ACC Championship. Maddie Rose Hamilton tied for 21st after a final round 75, which included three birdies. Both DiLisio (72) and Ayer (73) shot their best rounds of the tournament on Monday.
“Emma and Maddie played really solid tournaments,” Holt added. “Isabella and Mia stepped up big today which was great to see.”
Notre Dame (300-304-294=898) finished 10th at the championship. Duke (849) took first place, followed by Florida State (876) and Clemson (877). On the individual leaderboard, Duke’s Leona Maguire defeated her teammate, Jaravee Boonchant, on the third playoff hole to claim medalist honors after both players shot 210’s.

UP NEXT: NCAA SELECTIONS
The Fighting Irish will now await NCAA Regional selections, which will be announced at 5:30 p.m. on April 25 on the Golf Channel. Head coach Susan Holt has led Notre Dame to nine NCAA regional appearances and helped the Irish earn their first NCAA Championship berth in program history (2011).
