Armini Advances To Eugene in 10,000m on Day 2 of the 2026 NCAA East First Round

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Notre Dame Track and Field team completed day two of action for the 2026 NCAA East First Round.
Amaya Aramini punched her ticket to Eugene, finishing sixth with a time of 32:54.71 in the 10,000m. It was a fast race, with the winning time setting a new facility record in Lexington, Kentucky. So far, the Irish have advanced two athletes to Eugene in Okeke (Shot Put) and Aramini (10,000m).

Gretchen Farley will advance to the women’s 1500m Quarterfinals on Saturday night after finishing 11th on Thursday with a time of 4:11.88. Farley firmly claimed her spot in the top 24 with her best performance yet in the 1500m.

Reese Sanders will move on to the women’s 400m Hurdles Quarterfinals on Saturday night after finishing 19th on Thursday with a personal best time of 57.88.
