PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Senior captain #91 Brook Buck dropped her first round match against #53 Amanda Fink of USC in three sets, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, in qualifying singles action from the 2007 Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships.
Buck (Yukon, OK) struggled out of the gate, dropping the opening set, 6-0, but rebounded nicely in the second set with a 6-3 triumph. Buck was not able to match her performance in the third and final set, losing 6-3.
Buck dropped to 2-2 on the year and 66-29 for her career. She will continue action on Wednesday in the qualifying consolation bracket. She will also team with junior Kelcy Tefft (Enid, OK) in the main draw of doubles, which begins on Thursday.
