NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame men’s soccer student-athlete Jack Casey were named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District team presented by CoSIDA on Thursday. Casey earns his third consecutive Academic All-District honor.
Casey, a 2017 and 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-America Team selection, has played a major role in the Irish midfield this season. The senior has played in 16 fixtures during the 2019 campaign. Casey registered the assist in the goal scored by Ian Aschieris in the ACC Tournament win over Boston College that tied the match in the second half. The Irish went on to win 2-1 in double overtime.
The senior is majoring in economics and political science and has a cumulative GPA of 3.87.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District teams selected by CoSIDA recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically.
Casey and the Irish are back in action in the ACC quarterfinals at top-seeded Clemson at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 10. The match will air on ACCN.
