SOUTH BEND, Ind. – University of Notre Dame women’s lacrosse graduate midfielder Kasey Choma has been named the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, as announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
Choma set a season best seven goals and nine points last week in the team’s win at Louisville, helping her team clinch the second seed in the upcoming ACC tournament. The Manorville, N.Y. native led the team in both categories Thursday against the Cardinals while adding a ground ball and two assists to her statement performance.
A fifth-year with Notre Dame, Choma now sits five points shy of 300 career points with the Irish and has appeared in 81 career games – just one short of the program record.
Choma and the rest of the Irish begin postseason play on Wednesday, April 24 against Clemson in the ACC Quarterfinal round. First draw is set for 5 p.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium and will be broadcast live on ACC Network.
