INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – There were 12 international games at the USA Lacrosse Experience in Indianapolis this weekend as the U.S. men’s and women’s national sixes training teams competed against national teams from Colombia, Great Britain and Puerto Rico at the two-day event.
One of the program’s most decorated alums, Kasey Choma, represented the Irish as she scored 11 points with 8 goals across two wins for the U.S. women’s team.
In the first game of the day on Friday Oct. 11, the U.S. women’s team defeated Columbia 35-1 with Choma scoring two goals and dishing out two assists. Choma recorded four goals and an assist in the 27-9 win over Puerto Rico in their second game of the day.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Irish standout capped off the weekend with two goals in the 22-9 win over Great Britain.
Graduating in the class of 2024, Choma notched numerous accolades in her final season with the Irish. She was a 2024 Tewaaraton Nominee and was named IWLCA First Team West/Midwest All-Region Team, USA Lacrosse First Team All-American, ILWomen Midseason First Team All-American, and First Team All-ACC.
