Tad Skelley 2014-15 Baseball Staff

Former Wheaton College (Massachusetts) baseball standout Tad Skelley joined the University of Notre Dame baseball staff in the summer of 2013 as the program’s Director of Baseball Operations and enters his second year with the program in 2015.

In his role with the Irish, Skelley assists in the day-to-day duties of the program, including helping plan all aspects of practice, serving as the video analysis coordinator, assisting with camp organization and planning all travel and financial arrangements.

Prior to arriving at Notre Dame, Skelley was a teacher and coach at Cardigan Mountain School (New Hampshire). There he taught mathematics and was the baseball coach.

Skelley graduated from Wheaton College in the spring of 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. A member of the Lyon baseball team for four years, Skelley helped Wheaton to a 130-44 record over four years as the squad won three conference regular season and tournament championships (2008, 2010, 2011). A team captain and dorm residential advisor as a senior, the Wolfeboro, New Hampshire native left school as a career .345 hitter. As a junior Skelley hit .357 and started 34 of the 36 games he played in, before improving as a senior to hit .371 while starting all 42 contests.

Prior to Wheaton Skelley was a three-sport standout in football, hockey and baseball at the highly competitive academic and athletic Holderness School, winning the Webster Cup as the school’s top athlete.

Skelley comes from an athletic-minded family as his father, Chip Skelley, is the head football and baseball coach at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, his mother, Deborah Skelley, is a K-6 physical education teacher in Wolfeboro, his brother, Allie Skelley, is the assistant dean of students and the head hockey coach at Holderness School in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and sister, Kaitlyn Skelley Wahila, is the head field hockey coach at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
