ATHENS, Ga. – University of Notre Dame women’s golfer Katie Conway (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) continues to lead the Irish at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia. The senior registered a 72 Saturday in the second round of the three-day tournament and is currently in 12th place. Each member of the Irish team improved her score from the first round on Friday and Notre Dame improved from 17th place to fifth place.
Senior So-Hyun Park (Seoul, South Korea/Bradenton Preparatory Academy) and Nicole Zhang (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop Carroll) have posted identical scores through the first two rounds. The pair registered a 78 (+6) in the first 18 holes and 75 (+3) in the second round for a two-day total of 153 (+9).
Junior Becca Huffer (Denver, Colo./Littleton) is in 39th place after posting a 76 (+4) in the second round of the contest, while Kristina Nhim (Cypress, Calif./Cypress) is in 82nd place and posted a 77 (+5) in the second day.
