Doherty Picks Up IWLCA Honors

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – After her career weekend, which included seven goals and three assists, MK Doherty of the Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week by the IWLCA as announced Tuesday afternoon.

The senior midfielder’s week included a pair of game-winning goals as the Irish registered two wins over top-25 opponents at Brown and Boston College.

Her game winning tally, and third of the evening, at Brown came with less than 40 seconds to play in the fourth quarter before following up that performance with a career-high four goals at Boston College, including the final of the day with 15 seconds left in regulation.

In addition to her 10 points, Doherty registered 14 draw controls over the two-game stretch and added a pair of ground balls to her resume.
