Dooley Joins Women's Lacrosse For 2023-24 Season

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Olivia Dooley is set to join the University of Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team for 2023-24, as announced by the coaching staff Friday. The veteran defender comes to South Bend following a four-year career at USC in which she appeared in 46 games for the Trojans.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play for this amazing team and be a part of this incredible university,” Dooley said upon her arrival to campus. “I’ve already met the coaches, staff, and many of the players who have welcomed me and made me feel like I’ve been on the team for the past four years.”

Most recently, Dooley started all 18 games for USC in 2023 and helped lead her team to a 16-4 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. In her final season in Southern California, the Manhasset, New York native caused 44 turnovers and picked up 23 ground balls.

The 2022 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and IWLCA All-American consistently helped the Trojans to one of the nation’s best defenses during her tenure.

“I can’t wait to start my new chapter at Notre Dame,” Dooley closed.
