SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The ACC announced its 2025 All-ACC Men’s Soccer Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon and 11 Fighting Irish players earned the honors.
The Notre Dame players selected to the team were KK Baffour, Jacob Bartlett, Bryce Boneau, Mitch Ferguson, Seb Green, Blake Kelly, Wyatt Lewis, Sean McDowd, Matthew Roou, Ian Shaul and Nolan Spicer.
A conference-record 173 student-athletes earned spots on the men’s soccer All-ACC Academic Team. All 15 ACC programs are represented, with Duke leading the way with 18 honorees. Louisville, Pitt and Stanford each had 15 honorees.
The All-ACC Academic Team is highlighted by each of the ACC’s five season award winners: Gerbet (Midfielder of the Year), Notre Dame’s Matthew Roou (Offensive Player of the Year), Pitt’s Casper Svendby (Defensive Player of the Year), Duke’s Wessel Speel (Goalkeeper of the Year) and Clemson’s Ransford Gyan (Freshman of the Year).
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
