Made his mark in the dominant 45-7 win over Wake Forest, totaling three tackles and an impressive pass breakup for a defense that held Wake Forest to just 232 yards of total offense, including only 98 passing yards.
One of his three tackles vs. Wake Forest was a key shared third-down stop in the second quarter that led to a Wake Forest field goal attempt on the following play. Notre Dame blocked the attempt to regain possession, driving for a field goal to end the half. His pass breakup occurred in the third quarter at the Notre Dame 33-yard line, forcing a Wake Forest punt two plays later.

Morrison’s TFL came on the first play of a Clemson third-quarter drive, while he added another PBU on the very next play, leading to a three-and-out for the Tigers.

Notre Dame’s defense has held every opponent this season to fewer yards than their 2023 season averages entering the game. Furthermore, Notre Dame has held teams to an average of 109.5 fewer offensive yards than the opponent’s season average entering the game.
Through ten games, the Irish are tied for the lead among all FBS teams in defensive touchdowns this season (4), while ranking second in turnovers gained (20), second in passing yards allowed per game (153.6),third in team passing efficiency defense (95.77), third in interceptions (14), fifth in red zone defense (0.679) and seventh in total defense (280.4).

Named the Walter Camp Player of the Week after his dominating performance against No. 5 Clemson, setting up Notre Dame’s third touchdown with his first career interception, then picking off another pass and returning it 96 yards for a touchdown. He also contributed a career-best seven tackles and a PBU against the Tigers
His six interceptions in 2022 were the most for an Irish player since Manti Te’o picked off seven passes on his way to finishing second in the 2021 Heisman Trophy balloting. It also is the most for an Irish cornerback since Cole Luke intercepted four passes in 2014.
The six interceptions were the third-most for any FBS defensive player in 2022 and the most of any Power 5 defensive back.
Shares the Notre Dame single-game record for interceptions in a game with 15 other players, picking off three Boston College passes during the 2022 home finale. He ended the Eagles’ first drive with an interception, then took away a BC scoring chance with an interception in the end zone later in the first quarter. Finally, in the midst of a snow storm in the second half, earned his third interception tracking down an overthrown screen pass.
