Anthonie Knapp

 

True freshman Anthonie Knapp has started every game for the Irish at left tackle, part of a unit that was named a semifinalist for the 2024 Joe Moore Award, recognizing the top offensive line in college football.

The Irish have the best yards-per-carry rate in the Power 4, with 6.30 yards per rush, which ranks third among all FBS teams. 

Notre Dame ranks second among all Power 4 programs in rushing touchdowns this season (40), and ranks tied for third among all FBS teams. 

The Irish have the third-best rushing offense in the Power 4, and rank 10th overall with 224.8 rushing yards per game. 

Notre Dame has outpaced their opponents’ average yards allowed entering the game in every game this season. The Irish have rushed for an average of 102.5 yards more than each opponent’s average rushing yards allowed entering the game, while outpacing their average yards-per-carry allowed entering each game by an average of 2.59 yards per carry. 

2024

  • at TEXAS A&M (8/31): Started in collegiate debut with the Irish on the offensive line… played all 67 offensive snaps… had an integral role in the team’s two rushing touchdowns
  • NORTHERN ILLINOIS (9/7): Started for the Irish on the offensive line… played all 62 snaps on the offensive end

  • MIAMI UNIVERSITY (9/22): Started on the offensive line for the Irish in the win
  • LOUISVILLE (9/28): Earned the start on the offensive line… played all 57 snaps on offense in the victory
  • STANFORD (10/12): Started for the Irish on the offensive line
  • at GEORGIA TECH (10/19): Started on the offensive line and played all 67 offensive snaps
  • at NAVY (10/26): Started for the Irish on the offensive line… helped the Irish gain over 400 yards of offense
  • FLORIDA STATE (11/09): Started on the offensive for Irish and played over 50 snaps
  • VIRGINIA (11/16): Started on the offensive line
  • ARMY (11/23): Started on the offensive line in the win as the Irish put up over 460 yards of offense
