Jeremiyah Love has rushed for a touchdown in every single game this season, totaling 15 rushing touchdowns, in addition to two receiving touchdowns. He is the only FBS player to have scored a rushing touchdown in each game this season.

He has broken the record for the most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown in Notre Dame history with 12, topping the previous record of 11 – Wayne Bullock, 1973-74 (17 total rushing TDs during streak). The 12-consecutive games to start a season is a new program record, besting Autry Denson’s season-opening run of 10 in 1998.

The Irish have the best yards-per-carry rate in the Power 4, with 6.30 yards per rush, which ranks third among all FBS teams. 

Notre Dame ranks second among all Power 4 programs in rushing touchdowns this season (40), and ranks tied for third among all FBS teams. The Irish have the third-best rushing offense in the Power 4, and rank 10th overall with 224.8 rushing yards per game. 

Notre Dame has outpaced their opponents’ average yards allowed entering the game in every game this season. The Irish have rushed for an average of 102.5 yards more than each opponent’s average rushing yards allowed entering the game, while outpacing their average yards-per-carry allowed entering each game by an average of 2.59 yards per carry.

GAME SPOTLIGHT: 11/23 vs. No. 18 Army

  • Love put together one of the most complete games of his career with a three-touchdown, 136-all purpose yard performance in the 49-14 win over No. 18 Army.

  • It marked just the third time this season a Power 4 running back has posted 130 rushing yards on fewer than 10 carries in a single game (Xavier Brown, Virginia; Dawson Pendergrass, Baylor), and he is one of just seven Irish running backs to achieve 100 or more yards on fewer than 10 carries since 1950.

  • Love posted seven carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns (including a 68-yard long), while reeling in a six-yard pass and hurdling a defender for a receiving score. It marks Love’s second-consecutive 100+-yard rushing game, and fourth such game of the season.

  • His receiving touchdown was his second of the season, grabbing a short pass and speeding towards the end zone, hurdling a defender to put the Irish up by two touchdowns in the first quarter. In the second quarter, he broke into the end zone on a 12-yard rush to put Notre Dame up 21-7.

  • Then, on Notre Dame’s first play of the third quarter, Love broke off a 68-yard touchdown jaunt to give Notre Dame a 35-7 lead.

GAME SPOTLIGHT: 11/16 vs. VIRGINIA

  • Love put together a monster performance in the 35-14 win over Virginia, posting 16 carries for 137 yards and two touchdowns, including a 76-yard breakaway run for a score. The 137 total yards, and the 76-yard long, were both career-highs for Love. It marked his third-career 100-yard game.
  • The sophomore scored the first touchdown of the day on a four-yard rush, ending Notre Dame’s first drive. Midway through the third quarter, after a four-yard rush for a first down, Love broke through the middle for a 76-yard rush to put Notre Dame up 35-0. The rush was good for third-longest rush by an FBS player that weekend.
  • Love was the only player that weekend to total both 137 rushing yards or more and two or more rushing touchdowns against a Power 4 opponent.

GAME SPOTLIGHT: 10/26 vs. NAVY

  • Love notched his second-career 100-yard rushing game in Notre Dame’s statement 51-14 win over No. 24 Navy. He totaled 12 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns, his first-career game with multiple rushing touchdowns, including a 64-yard long scoring run (the longest of his career). He also played a role in the pass game, snagging a reception, and led the Irish in all-purpose yards on the day.

GAME SPOTLIGHT: 9/15 at PURDUE

  • The running back room was on full display in the 66-7 win at Purdue. Love notched his first-career 100-yard rushing game in the win, the largest win by a team over Purdue in Purdue’s history. Love totaled 109 rushing yards and a touchdown, adding 18 yards in the air. His 127 all-purpose yards led all players in the game from either team.

GAME SPOTLIGHT: 8/31 at TEXAS A&M

  • Love sealed the 23-13 victory for No. 7 Notre Dame at No. 20 Texas A&M with a 21-yard rushing TD in the final minutes of the game. Love led all rushers at Kyle Field with 91 yards on 14 carries, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. He also added a reception for three yards on Notre Dame’s first offensive play of the evening. Price scored Notre Dame’s first touchdown of the win at Texas A&M, a 47-yard jaunt.
  • With 6:23 remaining in the game and a 13-13 tie score, Love joined quarterback Riley Leonard and the Irish offense on an eight-play, 85-yard drive on which Love posted 36 rushing yards, including a 21-yard touchdown rush, breaking multiple tackles. The go-ahead touchdown allowed for an Irish victory.
