SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish fencing team had 43 members of the squad earn All-Academic Team selections from the United States Fencing Coaches Association. Among women’s teams, Notre Dame led the nation with twenty-five All-Academic Team selections.
The USFCA recognizes the individual student athletes and teams on the basis of their combined Fall and Spring semester GPAs (or Fall and Winter quarter GPAs).
All-Academic Team honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholar of Distinction honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher.
Of Notre Dame’s 43 selections, 21 earned Scholar of Distinction honors. The full list of Fighting Irish fencers to earn honors is below. A * denotes Scholar of Distinction honors.
