NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame sophomore RHP Rory Fox has been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Fox pitched 50.0 innings for the Irish in 2024, earning a 2-3 record with 38 strikeouts. He started in Notre Dame’s combined no-hitter in the 13-0 win over Boston College on April 21, 2024, the program’s first no-hitter (combined or solo) since Brian Piotrowicz on May 11, 1988 vs. Ball State.
Fox is an Environmental Sciences major with a 3.934 cumulative GPA. He has been named to the Dean’s List in each semester he has attended Notre Dame, including two 4.0 GPA semesters.
To be eligible for the All-District Team, student-athletes must be a sophomore and carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA. The 2024 honor marks Fox’s first All-District Team selection, as 2024 was his first eligible season as a sophomore.
