The Seminoles managed to score 14 straight to take a 14-7 lead off an 89-yard touchdown run from Jashaun Corbin late in the first quarter and a two-yard touchdown run from Jordan Travis with 10:05 left in the second quarter.

Notre Dame responded by scoring the final 10 points of the half to retake the lead at 14-7 heading into the halftime break. Jonathan Doerer connected on a 48-yard field goal to cut the Seminoles’ lead to 14-10.

The hosts temporarily went back on top with an early score in the third quarter at 20-17 before the Irish imposed their will for the remainder of the quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points to go on top 38-20.

A beautiful 37-yard pass from Coan to Austin marked the first touchdown of the second half.
