Monica A. Cundiff, a member of the Notre Dame athletics department staff since 1997, is in her second year as associate athletics director of athletic events and game operations. She continues a role she has held for the past 14 years, managing events in the Joyce Center, which includes both Notre Dame and outside events held in the facility. Cundiff also serves alongside the vice president of safety & event management to oversee game operations during Notre Dame home football weekends.

Cundiff provides oversight to all facets of game day management to include seasonal games, tournaments, conference play and NCAA Championships. Key events Cundiff has supported in her role include; the 2014 NCAA Womens Basketball Regional, the first time Notre Dame helf an NCAA Regional event on campus in the current 64-team basketball championship format; the 2015 NCAA Softball Regional, the first time Notre Dame played host in Melissa Cook Stadium and the 2016 Shamrock  Series football game in San Antonio.

In addition, Cundiff coordinates NBC Sports executive client hospitality program as part of the University’s partnership with the broadcast network. Cundiff also serves as the sport administrator for the Irish softball team and previously served on the BIG EAST softball committee.

Prior to her current role, Cundiff supervised Notre Dame’s Olympic sport facilities, including Frank Eck Stadium (baseball), Melissa Cook Stadium (softball), Arlotta Stadium (lacrosse) and Alumni Stadium (soccer). Cundiff also directed the marketing and promotional efforts for many of the Notre Dame varsity sports teams since 1998. In addition, Cundiff served as the advisor for the Leprechaun Legion, a club comprised of students supporting the Notre Dame men’s basketball team.

In 1997, Cundiff served as a sports promotions assistant at Notre Dame, with a concentration with volleyball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball.

Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Cundiff was the director of marketing for Sagamore Publishing of Champaign, Ill. from 1995-97 and she was a marketing assistant for the Champaign Park District in 1994 and 1995. She was a marketing assistant and broadcaster for WSWS/WHMS radio in Champaign, including serving as a color commentator for Illinois women’s basketball games.

Cundiff has been involved with various community organizations, including Meals on Wheels for the past 15 years.

The Peoria, Ill. native is a 1992 graduate of the University of Illinois, where she earned four letters as a member of the Fighting Illini women’s basketball team.

Kathryn Coneys

Kathryn Coneys is in her 11th year at the University of Notre Dame, and her sixth year as a member of the Fighting Irish Event Management staff. Coneys returned to Event Management after a three-year stint with Youth and Community Programming.

In her current role, Coneys is responsible for the coordination of all game day management for the University’s Olympic sporting events as well as events that are held in the Joyce Center. Primarily focused on men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball, she coordinates many aspects of visiting team travel and practices, and is the primary contact for those teams while in South Bend. Coneys’ role also includes bidding for and hosting a variety of conference tournaments as well as NCAA post-season tournaments held on campus and in surrounding metropolitan cities.

As the coordinator of Youth and Community Programming, Coneys was able to pilot an online registration process as well as create a website for parents of campers to visit for more information on summer camps, each contributing to an increase of more than 2,000 camp enrollments. She also spearheaded several efforts in community outreach with Notre Dame student-athletes – the most notable being the “Irish Experience” program, bringing students into the community as well as bringing youths onto campus in an effort to instill the Notre Dame values such as “Play Like A Champion Today.”

Coneys is a 2007 graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland, where she earned her Bachelors degree in Sport Management. She received her Masters in Sport Administration from Ohio University, having graduated in May 2015.

A native of Clifton Park, N.Y., she resides in Mishawaka, Ind.

Chad DeWeese

Chad DeWeese is beginning his fifth year at the University of Notre Dame, and is a member of the Fighting Irish event management staff, having joined that department in August 2013.

In his current role, DeWeese is responsible for aiding assistant athletics director Monica Cundiff with the coordination of all game day management for Olympic sporting events, all event management aspects for select events held in the Joyce Center, and the planning of a variety of other events in the building. Primarily focused on Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Fencing, and Men’s/Women’s Lacrosse, DeWeese coordinates many aspects related to visiting team travel and practices, and serves as the team’s main contact while in South Bend. DeWeese also serves as facility manager of Arlotta Stadium,

DeWeese’s other duties also include the coordination of athletic facilities for outside University events, as well the NBC executive client hospitality program, placing bids for post-season tournaments, and all game day management aspects related to NCAA Championship sponsored events hosted by the University.

DeWeese is a 2011 and 2013 graduate of Ball State University, where he earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in the area of Sports Administration. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, DeWeese served as the Graduate Assistant for Administration and Operations within Ball State’s athletic department from 2011-13. DeWeese was also a marketing and promotions student assistant and volunteer from 2008-11 while at Ball State.

In his spare time, DeWeese enjoys spending time with his wife (Alexandra), daughter (Emerson), family and friends, golfing, and watching sports. An Indianapolis native, DeWeese and his wife currently reside in South Bend, Ind.

Jordan Haitsma

Jordon Haitsma is in his sixth year as a member of the athletics administration at the University of Notre Dame, and currently serves as the Event Management and Olympic Facility Program Director.

In his current role, Haitsma is responsible for supporting Associate Athletics Director Monica Cundiff with all game day management for Olympic home sporting events and all event management aspects for special events held in the Joyce Center.  Primarily focused on Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Fencing, Women’s Tennis, and Baseball, Haitsma coordinates many aspects related to visiting team travel and practices, and is the primary contact for those teams while in South Bend. Haitsma also serves as the facility manager for Frank Eck Baseball Stadium.

Before joining the Event Management team, Haitsma served as the Director of the Camps and Clinics hosting over 75 camps and clinics throughout the calendar year. Haitsma served as liaison to 18 varsity coaching staffs, and multiple other campus entities including Risk Management, Office of Housing, Dining Services, Security and Police, Human Resources, and Athletics Business Office. He also established the summer camp schedule offering over 50 camp sessions, attracting over 10,000 campers each summer. Haitsma oversaw the processing of all camp merchandise orders through Under Armour, and processed HR paperwork for over 500 camp counselors.

In addition, Haitsma managed community outreach initiatives on behalf of the Athletics Department including activation and involvement on Notre Dame’s campus, as well as development and implementation of a plan for local, regional, and national outreach.

Haitsma is a 2013 graduate of Ball State University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Sports Administration. During his time at Ball State University, Haitsma was the Ball State Men’s Basketball manager during the 2011-2013 seasons.

A native of Elkhart, IN, he currently resides in South Bend, IN
