SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame freshman pitcher/first baseman Lily Hagan was named the ACC Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It’s the first career weekly honor for the Colts Neck, New Jersey native. Hagan is the second Irish freshman to earn the nod (Ava Zachary, March 17).
Hagan led the Irish offensively on a week where Notre Dame posted a 4-0 week. She hit .667, notching six hits in just nine at bats, and slugged 1.222. Three of those hits went for extra bases, a pair of doubles and a two-run homer against Michigan State. Hagan’s seven homers lead the team this season.

In Friday night’s series opener against Boston College, Hagan notched her first career three-hit game before following it up with a pair of hits Sunday to secure the sweep over the Eagles.
Hagan and the Irish look to extend their win streak to five this evening against UIC at 5:00 p.m. at Melissa Cook Stadium.
