SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame women’s tennis head coach Alison Silverio added a familiar face to the staff on the eve of their 2026 spring dual season, as Matt Halfpenny rejoins as an assistant coach.
Last spring, the Irish achieved a 21-6 overall record, marking the most wins in the Coach Silverio era and the most since 2012 as well. Notre Dame also achieved its most wins in league play since joining the ACC in 2013 with nine.
In addition last season, the Blue & Gold qualified for their third consecutive NCAA Tournament under Coach Silverio, ultimately reaching the second round.

Notre Dame women’s tennis opens the season on Sunday, Jan. 18, with a doubleheader at home. First, it’s Western Michigan at 11 a.m. then Duquesne at 4 p.m.
