GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sophomore Ahmed Hesham was tabbed to the CSC Academic All-America At-Large Second Team in NCAA Division I, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Cairo, Egypt, Hesham shined on the strips, winning the 2026 NCAA Sabre Individual Championship and the 2026 ACC Men’s Sabre Individual Championship. Hesham was also named a First Team All-American, the USFCA Men’s Sabre Collegiate Athlete of the Year and the ACC Men’s Sabre Fencer of the Year.
Hesham, who majors in computer engineering, is also a two-time All-ACC Academic team member as the sophomore continues to add to his decorated resume.
