NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame women’s lacrosse players Ellie Hilling and Megan Sullivan were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after helping the No. 6 Irish to a pair of top-20 victories last week, the league office announced on Monday.

Hilling, who earlier in the year was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after a career-high 16 saves in a win over Ohio State, had a standout week in helping the Irish to a pair of victories over then-No. 18 Vanderbilt and then-No. 12 Georgetown.

Against the Commodores Hilling recorded 13 saves and tied her career-high with six ground balls as Notre Dame won 12-11. The Rochester, N.Y., product came back with a 16-save performance in the 7-6 double-overtime win against the Hoyas. The 16 saves tied her career high.

Hilling leads the league in saves a game (9.38), is second in save percentage (.473) and is fourth in goals against average (10.57).

Sullivan, who is a tri-captain, tallied three goals, four ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls on the week, including two key second half goals in the win against Vandy and the first goal of the game against Georgetown.

On the year, Sullivan is tied for fifth on the team in points, fourth in goals and ground balls, second in draw controls and third in caused turnovers.

The Irish (12-2, 3-1) travel to No. 1 Northwestern this Wednesday for an 8 p.m. (ET) (7 p.m. CT) game. The Wildcats (14-1) suffered their first loss of the season this past Saturday at the hands of then-No. 5 Northwestern (8-7) in Evanston. Fans can follow the game via live stats, or pay for a subscription to watch the video feed on Northwestern’s website.
