SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior right-handed pitcher Xavier Hirsch has been named as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree for the 2026 season.
Hirsch registered 40.1 innings on the mound for the Irish in 2026. He had three starts and made 15 appearances for the Irish during the season with a 3-4 record on the hill. Hirsch posted a career-best 35 strikeouts while allowing just nine walks and had a single-game career-high eight strikeouts during the year.
To be eligible for the All-District Team, student-athletes must be a sophomore and carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA while meeting athletic competition requirements. It is the first CSC Academic All-District team honor of his career.
