SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame hockey team heads back on the road this weekend for a pair of games at Michigan in Ann Arbor. The two teams met six times in the 2023-24 season, with the Irish securing Catalino Family Head Hockey Coach Jeff Jackson’s 400th career win behind the Irish bench in a convincing 6-1 victory at home against the Wolverines.

- The Irish head back on the road this weekend following three weeks at home in which they posted a 3-3-0 record.

- Cole Knuble led the Irish to victory Friday night against Wisconsin, netting the overtime game-winner at 2:11 of the extra session. The goal was his team-best sixth of the season and third game-winner of the year which leads the nation.
- The sophomore center now boasts 12 points in eight games played which ranks eighth nationally while his six goals is second-best overall.
- With a goal in his most recent outing, Ryan Helliwell now boasts a career-best three game point streak spanning back to October 26 vs. Long Island. The senior blueliner’s goal in the second period Saturday against Wisconsin was his first since Oct. 14, 2022 vs. Northern Michigan.
- After a pair of assists over the weekend, Axel Kumlin is riding a four-game point streak (1-3-4) which marks the longest of his career.
- Henry Nelson scored his second collegiate goal to open the scoring Friday night against Wisconsin. His younger brother Danny notched the primary assist on the play, marking the first time brothers contributed to each other’s goals since Justin Janicke had the second assist on his older brother Trevor’s goal on February 2, 2024 vs. Michigan State.
- The last time one brother posted the primary assist on their brother’s goal was November 5, 2023 when Justin fed his brother Trevor a pass at Penn State in a 2-2 tie.

- A storied rivalry between the Irish and Wolverines, the two teams have met 167 times in program history with Michigan leading the all-time series 85-76-6.
