Home Opener on the Horizon for Irish

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame baseball team is slated to host Eastern Michigan on Tuesday afternoon for the team’s home opener.

THE MATCHUP

  • The Irish lead the all-time series 7-3 overall.
  • Notre Dame took a 12-10 win over Eastern Michigan on May 13, 2025 in the most recent meeting between the two teams.

LAST TIME OUT

The Irish powered their way to a weekend sweep at the Holiday Inn Classic hosted by Tennessee Tech.

  • ALABAMA A&M – The Irish posted ten runs in the first three innings and never looked back in a 19-2 win in seven innings against Alabama A&M in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Jack Radel earned the win on the bump after going 6.0 innings with 10 strikeouts.
  • UIC – Brandon Logan used a game-ending grand slam to help lift the Notre Dame baseball team to a 14-3 (8 innings) win. Mark Quatrani added a homer. Caden Crowell earned the win on the mound for the Irish.
  • TENNESSEE TECH – Trailing 8-3 midway through the seventh inning, the Irish plated five runs in the bottom half of the inning before walking off a 9-8 win in 11 innings. Mark Quatrani went 4-for-6 at the dish with two home runs on the day. Drew Berkland added a 4-for-6 effort of his own with three RBIs, which included the game-tying and game-winning runs.
