Irish Draw South Carolina for ACC/SEC Challenge

Will head to Columbia on Nov. 28

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Matchups, dates and times for the 2023 ACC/SEC Men’s Basketball Challenge were announced on Wednesday morning. Notre Dame, in its first year under Glenn & Stacey Murphy Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry, will travel to Columbia to clash with South Carolina on Nov. 28. Tip is set for 7 p.m. ET inside Colonial Life Arena.

The Fighting Irish are 10-5 against the Gamecocks in their all-time rivalry with a 4-3 mark at South Carolina. The two sides have not met on the hardwood since Feb. 4, 1984.

The ACC/SEC Men’s Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Tuesday, Nov. 28 and Wednesday, Nov. 29, and be broadcast across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network. Coverage details, including platform designations and commentator information, will be announced in the Fall.

The ACC is the winningest conference in NCAA Tournament history with a .654 winning percentage. League teams have combined to win 475 NCAA Tournament games all-time. In the last eight tournaments, ACC teams have combined to win 99 games while placing eight teams in the Final Four and earning three national titles.
