Syracuse, N.Y. – The Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team spent its third consecutive weekend in Western New York as the Irish visited Syracuse for their BIG EAST opener. The two teams continued to trade goals until the 18:22 mark of the second half before Orr’s third goal of the game on a free-position shot with 10:38 left in the game made it 13-12 on the season.

Looney tied the game at 18:40 to tie the score at 13-13. One minute later at 19:40, Rowan beat Irish goaltender Sam St. Lawrence to make it 14-13 and then Pike and Looney closed out the scoring for Syracuse and the 16-13 win.
