Irish Drop Two in ACC Road Weekend

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame Women’s Tennis team fell to Miami and No. 6 Florida State in two ACC road matches on Friday and Sunday afternoons.

After a weather delay on Friday afternoon in Coral Gables, the Irish earned a doubles win from duo Ally Bojczuk and Julia Lilien before ultimately dropping the point to the Canes. In singles play, the Canes earned six consecutive wins to defeat the Irish, 7-0.

Sunday, the Irish looked to battle back with a strong performance against the No. 6 Seminoles. After a delay at the start of the match to dry the courts after rain, the Irish began with a doubles victory from Yashna Yellayi and Julia Andreach. The Irish would drop the following two doubles matches to take a 1-0 deficit into singles play. Three ranked Noles would hand the Irish singles defeats to ultimately hand the Irish a 7-0 loss.

The Irish move to 9-9 on the year, including 3-7 in ACC play.
