NOTRE DAME, Ind. — No. 46 Notre Dame Women’s Tennis fell to two top-10 opponents in No. 1 North Carolina and No. 8 Duke on Sunday and Monday. The Irish move to 9-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
The Irish began the road swing at No. 1 North Carolina and would battle six ranked opponents, ultimately falling 7-0.
In Durham on Monday morning, the Irish were led by freshman Julia Andreach, who defeated Hannah Zhao in a three-set tiebreaker, 6-7 (5-7), 6-0, 1-0 (10-7), to put the Irish on the board. The Blue Devils would win the doubles point and five singles points to earn the 6-1 final.
