SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame volleyball program earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday, maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale). 1,423 collegiate and high school teams earned the honor, expressing widespread success off court.
It’s the third-straight season the Irish volleyball program has won the award, and the fourth time overall to achieve the feat under head coach Salima Rockwell.
Notre Dame opens up the 2026 regular season August 28th against Ball State inside Purcell Pavilion at 6:30 p.m.
