ROME, Ga. — No. 50 Notre Dame Women’s Tennis fell to No. 24 Miami in the opener of the ACC Tournament at the Rome Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
The 10th-seeded Irish battled the seventh-seeded Hurricanes, ultimately falling, 4-1.
In doubles play, the 22nd ranked duo in the country, Cameron Corse and Page Freeman earned a top-25 victory over Perez-Somarriba and Pfennig, 6-1. However, the Canes would take the other two doubles matches to head to singles play with a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, Julia Andreach would defeat Maya Tahan, 6-4, 6-4, to earn the sole Irish point on the day.
