Irish Fall to Michigan

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame volleyball team dropped Friday night’s match to Michigan in three sets, 22-25, 22-25, 17-25. The Irish are now 3-4 on the season.

Morgan Gaerte paced the Irish with 13 kills, while Sydney Helmers tacked on nine of her own. 

Defensively, Anna Bjork tallied four blocks, three of them coming in the opening set. Notre Dame had 7.0 blocks in total.

Maya Baker assisted 13 Irish kills and recorded two service aces on the night. The freshman is now second on the team with eight aces this season.

Notre Dame will look to bounce back Sunday when the Irish face the Wolverines in a rematch in Ann Arbor. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on the Big Ten Network.
