NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame Women’s Tennis team fell to No. 11 NC State, 6-1, in a battle on the outdoor courts at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.
The Irish started strong in doubles, earning the point with two victories from duos Page Freeman and Cameron, as well as Ally Bojczuk and Julia Lilien.
In singles play, the Wolfpack rallied to win the first five singles matches. In the sixth, Julia Andreach played a hard-fought match, winning the first set, 7-5, and then taking Abigail Rencheli to a tiebreaker in the second set, 7-6, before falling in a 13-11 third-set tiebreaker.
The Irish would ultimately fall in all six singles matches to drop the match, 6-1, to the Wolfpack.
