Irish Fencers Compete Internationally

NOTRE DAME, In. – This past weekend Notre Dame fencing had a strong presence at both the women’s Sabre World Cup in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and the Qatar Women’s Epee Grand Prix in Doha. 

Atara Greenbaum and Kara Linder represented the Irish at the women’s Sabre World Cup. Greenbaum finished the weekend in 89th and Linder finished 36th. There were a total of 141 fencers at this competition.

Miriam Grady and Kaylin Hsieh continued Notre Dame representation when they competed at the Qatar Women’s Epee Grand Prix. Grady and Hsieh both picked up top-30 finishes when Grady placed 24th and Hsieh placed 29th. There were 124 fencers at the Grand Prix.
