The University of Notre Dame women’s golf team finished 10th (871, +7) at the 2022 Westbrook Invitational on the Vistas Course at the Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Arizona, on Monday and Tuesday. The two day competition, with the first two rounds on day one followed by round three on Tuesday was the first of the 2022 spring season for the Irish.
Sophomore Chloe Schiavone paced the Irish effort with three consecutive 70s on the 72-par course to card a -6 and finish in a tie for fourth place. It is the first top-five individual finish for the Jacksonville, Florida, native who missed a large portion of her first season at Notre Dame in 2020-21 with an injury.
Junior Caroline Wrigley (78-72-71, 221, +5) and classmate Madelyn Jones (73-71-77, 221, +5) both finished in a tie for 40th place to round out the top three individual finishers for Notre Dame.
Next up for the Irish will be the 2022 Clover Cup, the annual Notre Dame hosted tournament in Mesa, Arizona, which begins on March 10.
