NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team had six of its incoming freshmen named to the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 recruits list. The list is featured in the magazine’s September issue. The Fighting Irish recruiting class was ranked fifth nationally according to the publication.
Annually, Inside Lacrosse releases its Power 100 list, which is a quick view over the incoming recruits predicted to make an impact on NCAA Division I lacrosse, either immediately or down the road.
Leading the way for the Fighting Irish is goalie John Kemp (Potomac, Md./Georgetown Prep), who was ranked 20th on the list. Close behind were midfielders Pat Cotter (Olney, Md./Georgetown Prep) at No. 22 and Steven Murphy (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) at 26th. Murphy was profiled in the magazine (pg. 59) as part of its `The Year of the Middie’ feature.
Incoming Irish midfielder Quinn Cully (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) was tabbed as No. 54, while defenseman Matt Miller (Warrenton, Va./Notre Dame Academy) was 70th. Rounding out Notre Dame’s contingent on the list is attackman Ryan Foley (Glen Ridge, N.J./Delbarton) at No. 82.
