NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s track & field teams will join entrants from over 100 other four-year colleges at the 40th Stanford Track and Field Invitational, Friday and Saturday at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Stanford, California.
More than 3,300 athletes from open entries, 109 colleges, plus community colleges and high schools will take part in the event, which has been known by such names as the Stanford Relays, the Martin Luther King Games and the Diet Pepsi Track Challenge, among others. The Irish will send a full roster of competitors.
The Stanford Invitational will begin at 9 a.m. PDT on Friday with field events, followed by the start of running events at 10:22 a.m. PDT. Action will resume at 9 a.m. PDT on Saturday with field events, with running events beginning at 9:52 a.m. PDT.
