The fifth weekend of the PLL season took place this weekend in San Diego, California with 16 former Fighting Irish players participating. The matchups were headlined by Outlaws’ star Pat Kavanagh, with other notable performances coming from his brother Chris Kavanagh and Chaos’ veteran Sergio Perkovic.

He is now tied for first in one-point goals (12), tied for second in total goals (12) and third in total points (19). Kavanagh was also voted the Player of the Week after his dominant performance.

He also scooped three ground balls and caused a turnover. Entenmann is now second in the PLL in saves, with 77, on the season.

REDWOODS’ DEFENSE LED BY IRISH ALUM
Despite their two losses this past weekend, the Redwoods’ Irish alumni defenders put forth impressive stat lines. Across the two games, they were led by Arden Cohen, who caused a turnover and scooped six ground balls, giving him the lead for most caused turnovers this season, with 11. Carter Parlette, new Redwoods signee, debuted this weekend for the hosting team and scooped a ground ball in the loss against the Waterdogs. The other three former Irish defenders for the Redwoods combined for three caused turnovers and 10 ground balls. These performances put the Redwoods at second in the PLL in both caused turnovers (46) and ground balls (172).
