SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Logan Duncomb, a 6-10 center graduate transfer from Winthrop University, will officially call South Bend home next season as he is set to join the Irish for the 2026-27 season. The 2026 Big South Conference Player of the Year ranked second in the league in scoring (18.3 ppg) and second in rebounding (8.9 rpg). In fact, Duncomb posted 14 double-doubles and had 14 games with 20 or more points.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, native shot an efficient 60.0% from the field while converting 73.5% from the free-throw line. Duncomb broke the single-season record for free throws made (194) and attempted (264). In fact, Duncomb drew 9.5 fouls per 40 minutes, which was the most in Division I last season.
To add to his stat line, Duncomb also netted 50 assists, 24 blocks and 26 steals.

He’s a high motor big who can score in a variety of ways. His toughness, production, & competitiveness are exactly what we want in our program,” Glenn & Stacey Murphy Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry explained.
Duncomb became the second Eagle in program history to average a double-double in league play, posting 21.3 ppg and 10.3 rpg. In one of his highlight games of the year, Duncomb dropped a career-high 38 points at Presbyterian to go along with his 15 boards. The 38 points were the most by an Eagle in program history for a road game.
Duncomb’s stellar senior season wrapped after Winthrop went 23-11, coming one game shy of the NCAA Tournament after losing in the Big South title game. By year’s end, he was named: Big South Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Big South, Finalist for the Lou Henson Award and Finalist for the Nolan Richardson Award.
