SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame fencing team wrapped up the DeCicco Duals in fashion, going 7-0 on both the men’s and women’s side to complete the weekend.
Three different women fencers went 15-0 on the day in one weapon, as Siena Hua and Cate Priestley achieved the mark in sabre while Zoe Barnette recorded the record in foil.
On the men’s side Riley Robinson was the standout performer, going 21-0 in epee as he fenced every dual without dropping a bout. Mason Stanley also had a career day, posting a flawless mark of 19-0 in foil to lead the Irish to an undefeated day.
The Irish close out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 3 in Evanston, Illinois at the Northwestern Duals.
