SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame softball team will host the Western Michigan Broncos Tuesday evening at Melissa Cook Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The game was added last week after the Fighting Irish had two midweek contests canceled or postponed due to inclement weather.
The Irish enter the midweek game after dropping the series with Virginia at home. Tomorrow’s midweek game is the first in three weeks after the Irish defeated the Michigan State Spartans at home March 19th.
Western Michigan enters the contest after taking the series from Central Michigan last weekend. Overall, the Broncos are 17-15 and 6-5 in the Mid-American Conference. In the series, the Irish are 32-6 overall and 18-3 at Melissa Cook Stadium. The last time the two met was in March of 2022, when the Irish earned a 7-2 victory.
The game will air live on ACC Network Extra and be available via the WatchESPN app. Live stats will also be available for fans to follow along at FightingIrish.com/mediastats.
