The Fighting Irish hockey program has signed six players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period (Nov. 2021).
Henry Nelson | Defenseman | Maple Grove, Minnesota
- Currently skating in his first full season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL
- Has collected six points (3G, 3A) in 14 games this season, including a game-winning goal
- Played for Maple Grove High School for three seasons (2018-21)
- Totaled 23 goals and 64 assists for 87 points in 70 high school games
- Also skated for Team Twin Cities Orthopedics from 2019-21 in the Upper Midwest HS Elite Hockey League
- Attended USA Hockey’s Select 15 and Select 16 Camps in 2019 and 2020
Michael Mastrodomenico | Defenseman | Kirkland, Quebec
- Currently in his second season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL
- Has notched four goals and three assists in 12 games
- Collected eight points (2G, 6A) in 47 contests with Lincoln in 2020-21
- Before joining Lincoln, he skated for the Laval-Montreal Rousseau Royal (QMAAA) in 2019-20 and recorded 17 points (5G, 12A) in 42 games
- Played youth hockey in the Lac St.Louis Lions program from 2017-19
Jack Williams | Goaltender | St. Louis, Missouri
- Currently in his third USHL campaign and second season with the Waterloo Black Hawks
- Owns a 1.97 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage in 11 contests in 2021-22
- Appeared in 18 contests for Waterloo in 2020-21
- Before joining Waterloo, spent his first USHL season with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2019-20
- Appeared in 28 contests in his rookie USHL campaign and had a 12-8-4 record.
- Spent 2018-19 with the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL
- Posted a record of 21-13-3 in 39 contests with a 2.95 GAA
- Played youth hockey with the St. Louis AAA Blues organization from 2015-18
- Attended USA Hockey’s Select 15, 16 and 17 Camps in 2017-19
Brennan Ali | Forward | Glencoe, Illinois
- Currently skates for the Avon Old Farms School
- Was a member of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team at the 2021 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup
- Notched three assists in four games for Team USA in that event
- Has appeared in contests for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, including 11 games last season for the U.S. National Under-17 Team and two games this year for the U.S. National Under-18 Team
- Has totaled four points (1G, 3A) in 13 games for the NTDP
- Played youth hockey in the Chicago Mission organization from 2017-21
- Attended USA Hockey’s Select 15 and 17 Camps in 2019 and 2021
Jack Larrigan | Forward | St. Louis, Missouri
- In the midst of his second USHL campaign and his first with the Lincoln Stars
- Has appeared in 14 contests for Lincoln in 2021-22
- Spent his first USHL season with the Youngstown Phantoms in 2020-21 and posted nine points (3G, 6A) in 41 games in his rookie USHL season
- Skated for Shattuck St. Mary’s 15U in 2019-20 and scored 40 goals to go with 35 assists for 75 points in just 46 games
- Played high school hockey for Christian Brothers College High in 2018-19
- Skated with the St. Louis Blues AAA program from 2017-19
- Helped the Blues 14U team capture the Tier I Elite Hockey League Championship in 2018-19
- Attended USA Hockey’s Select 15 and 17 Camps in 2019 and 2021
Maddox Fleming | Forward | Rochester, Minnesota
- Opened the season with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, his second with the program
- Has collected five points (G, 4A) in 14 games with the U.S. National Under-18 Team
- Totaled 30 points (10G, 20A) in 39 contests last season with the U.S. National Under-17 Team
- Member of the 2020 U.S. Youth Olympic Team that competed in the Youth Olympic Games
- Dished out a pair of assists in that tournament with Team USA
- Skated with Shattuck St. Mary’s 18U Team in 2019-20 and totaled 14 goals and 38 assists in 42 games
- Played two seasons with Rochester Mayo High School from 2017-19
- Collected 32 goals and 51 assists in 41 games over two seasons with Rochester
